Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse has had an astonishing year.

Her new album 'Back to Black' not only sounds like it was sung by a soul diva from Motown's heyday, it could have been written by a woman thirty years her senior.

Never one to short change her life experience bank account, she's been in and out of rehab and has made it from small town Southgate, in the leafy suburbs of London, to conquer the world.

If you need any proof of her pedigree, one listen at 'Love is a Losing Game' from this year's Mercury prize will silence the doubters. Amy is the stuff that legends are made from.
